VOLUNTEER UPDATE

KELSO SCHOOL DISTRICT VOLUNTEER PROCESS

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Kelso School District! Our volunteers make a difference in our student’s lives and in our communities. We appreciate your willingness to take part in our volunteer onboarding process in order to keep our students and our staff safe. If you have questions about becoming a volunteer with the Kelso School District, please contact Crystal Smith at 360-501-1934 or at crystal.smith@kelsosd.org. All volunteers in the Kelso School District must complete the Steps to Becoming a Volunteer outlined below and receive notification of clearance from Kelso School District before participating in volunteer activities. Approved applicants are permitted to volunteer in all Kelso schools for two years from the date of fingerprint clearance.

Steps to Becoming a Volunteer:

  1. Apply online at the following link…
    https://bit.ly/KSDvolunteerapp

  2. Get fingerprinted (see the fingerprinting options below)

The secretary at the school you are volunteering at will have access to see when you have been cleared by Human Resources. Please follow-up with the school secretary after you have turned in your fingerprints to check on the status of your clearance.

FINGERPRINTING OPTIONS:

OPTION 1: Local Police Station or Sheriff’s Office

You will need to contact the police station in the county or city that you live in and inquire about fingerprinting services and getting an appointment time. You will need to present valid photo I. D., such as a driver’s license or passport. Once you have been fingerprinted, please return the fingerprint card to Human Resources with a cashier’s check, personal check, or money order made out to OSPI for $50.00. We will mail the card on your behalf.

OPTION 2: ESD 112

You will need to schedule an appointment online by visiting, https://app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php?owner=16644213 . Please bring a government issued photo I. D., such as a driver’s license or passport, with you to the appointment. There will be a fee due at time of fingerprinting services. Visa or Mastercard ONLY. You will NOT need to bring your fingerprints into Kelso School District as they will be sent directly to OSPI from ESD.
