STUDENT HANDBOOK

Students at Loowit High School still fall under the rules and expectations for all students of the Kelso School District. Student discipline will follow the KSD Student Handbook.

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS

  1. We take responsibility for our own behavior, needs, and progress by being on-task and communicating productively.

  2. We acknowledge communication from others and respond appropriately.

  3. We treat others, ourselves, and property with respect.

ACADEMIC EXPECTATIONS

  1. Maximize use of instructional time by being on-task for academic work or other tasks as assigned. On-task work means that you have appropriate resources out (Chromebook, Odysseyware, notebook, writing utensil, etc.) and are actively engaged in the task at hand.

  2. Advocate for yourself and do not waste time. If you get stuck, are confused, or are struggling, ask for help. If you cannot get help at that moment, keep trying or change to a different task until you can get the help you need.

  3. Communicate about appropriate topics at appropriate times at an appropriate volume using appropriate language.

  4. Play an active role in your education and environment. Each of us contributes to our community, so ensure that your contribution is a positive one for yourself and others.

  5. Be flexible and consistent.
